The Sally Bytheway Chorale, founded in March 2005, includes former members of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, the Eleanor Kennard Chorale, and Lex De Azevedo’s Millennium Choir. In only two years it grew from 25 members to include over 90 talented singers. The chorale performs a variety of styles, including jazz, contemporary, patriotic, gospel and sacred music. Spring of 2025 marked the debut of a select group called the Sally Bytheway Singers.<\/p>\n

The chorale has been invited to perform at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, and was selected to perform in the 2007 Winter Festival Concert on Temple Square. It has performed in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and to standing room only audiences at the Waterford School concert hall. In 2011, the chorale was named Best of State<\/a> in the Vocal Group category, and also won the Choice in Community Award from Utah’s 2011 Entertainment and Choice Awards. In 2017, the chorale was invited to represent the State of Utah in the 2017 National Festival of the States<\/a> in Washington, DC. In 2019, the chorale toured Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia, performing in the American Celebration of Music concert series<\/a>. The 2024 Europe tour<\/a> included concerts in Strasbourg and Colmar, France; Lucerne, Switzerland; and Stresa, Italy.<\/p>\n

The Sally Bytheway Chorale has been designated a public charity by the IRS and donations<\/a> are tax deductible. The trustees are Sally Brinton, Michael Brinton, and Rebecca Doumbe.<\/p>\n
